TOURIST TRANSPORTATION AS THE BASIS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPHERE OF MULTIMODAL PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION

EDN: UZOXOV

Abstract

The article considers the issue of the influence of a multimodal transport system on the organization of tourist transportation in the context of an increase in demand for this type of tourism from the population and the interest of the state. Multimodal tourist routes allow you to combine different modes of transport, such as rail, road, water and air, in one route, while reducing the load on the transport network compared to unimodal routes. This allows the tour operator to choose the most convenient and cost-effective mode of transportation for a group of tourists, and also reduces travel time and cost. When forming a tourist multimodal route, it is necessary to assess the potential of the desired locations for tourism resources, as well as determine their attractiveness for customers, take into account the cost of travel time for a passenger on this type of transport, the optimal duration of the vehicle and the transfer time for passengers between transportation links in order to create the most efficient and convenient route for tourists.
